LILAK (Purple Action for Indigenous Women's Rights)

The 2024 Human Rights Award
LILAK received the 2024 Tulip Human Rights Award for her outstanding advocacy for the rights of indigenous women. The award was presented by Ambassador Marielle Geraedts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Philippines on 11 December 2024. The Tulip Award honors courageous individuals or organizations making a significant impact in the fight for human rights.
COLLECTIVE ACTION
LILAK is a collective of feminists, activists, indigenous women, and advocates putting our hearts, minds, and energies together to support and act in solidarity with the struggle of the indigenous women.
TRANSFORMATION
We work for transformative changes in indigenous women's lives within social movements and peoples' struggles; and towards indigenous women's economic, political, social, and cultural empowerment.
FREEDOMS
We aspire for a nation of societies where women with multiple identities are able to exercise their rights and enjoy their freedoms from poverty, violence, powerlessness, and injustices.
