Indigenous Women's Steering Committee
The LILAK Steering Committee consists of indigenous women leaders from different indigenous communities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The committee gathers and brings with them the stories, lived experiences, struggles, and triumphs of indigenous women from their respective communities and steers LILAK into the direction it should go. With the changing times, LILAK has had the honor to work with two batches of steering committees.
As of 2021, the committee consists of women from the communities of Bukidnon, Erumanen Menuyu, Hanunuo Mangyan, Igorot, Ilongot, Kirintiken Erumanen Menuvu, Mamanwa, Mansaka, Subanen, Tagbanua, and Teduray.
The LILAK Core Team
The LILAK Core Team consists of women rights advocates, feminists, and activists. The Core Team has a special way of working; rather than in hierarchies, the team works in various circles such as the Communication Team, Finance Team, Interns and Volunteers Team, Project and Resource Development Team, and Programs Team.
LILAK Sisters
LILAK Sisters are a group of women from all walks of life volunteering their expertise, hearts, minds, and energies in solidarity with indigenous women and the struggle for their rights. The LILAK Sisters are journalists, anthropologists, lawyers, artists, health experts, students, and more.
