BABAYEnihan Report 2020
BABAYEnihan Report 2020
Report on BABAYEnihan in time of COVID-19 relief program
The pandemic has made life harder for indigenous women, who are often the main caregivers in their communities. They now have more responsibility for their families' food, health, and well-being due to limited access to social services. This situation has increased their anxiety about their families' survival. Despite these challenges, indigenous women leaders are stepping in to help where the government is lacking, coordinating support, finding network signals, and distributing necessities, even though this exposes them to the virus.
In light of these issues, our BABAYEnihan report of 2020 provides an in-depth analysis of the impacts and outlines the actions taken to support these communities.
