Traditional Farming Practices of Indigenous Women in the Philippines
Traditional Farming Practices of Indigenous Women in the Philippines
LILAK, in collaboration with indigenous women, documented the traditional farming practices of Indigenous women in the Philippines. These stories from Bukidnon, Mindoro, and North Cotabato bear witness to the rural and indigenous women’s valuable contribution to sustainable solutions to food crisis, and their continuing assertion of their rights to their land, and power to produce food, and create lives.
This report is part of the efforts of the ReSisters Dialogue in 2023, where women-led stories and their pushback against climate false solutions in the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Burma, were documented, with support from the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA) and the Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres (FCAM).
